Hey guys, I have an iPad 2 that's nearing its end off life as an iPad. Nothing wrong with it. Had to perform a factory reset as it was playing up, now its runs just fine, however its on iOS 9.3.5 and can virtually not install anything on it as we need a higher iOS version.
I've got VLC player and BBC iPlayer installed and that's about it.
As an Internet browser its fine.
Was wondering what else one can do with it?
Install Linux? Anything else? Don't mind playing with it as its now worthless.
Any ideas?

Play old apps that were removed in the move to 64 bit? Only if they are on your purchase history as I understand it

Tried that, they come up not compatible with the iOs version I've got sadly. Got a couple working. As a browser its fine but thats it. Thinking of getting a new one to be honest.

Apple should offer some trade-in value if you buy a new iPad, or something else.

OK, so its a shameless plug (and clearly I can't work out how to upload a picture) but....

If it were an iPad Mini 2 you could turn it into a virtual pinball table
