iOS 7 Beta 5 - Why have they changed the UK male Siri voice

    OK, a bit flippant this. Beta 4 introduced a UK female voice option for Siri, which I prefer, but my other half stuck with the male voice. Unfortunately, with Beta 5 they have replaced the original male voice with one which she says sounds "less dominant" whatever that means! Anyone else have any strong feelings on the matter?!

    Have you done the full Siri update required for beta 5? According to the release notes found floating on t'inernet:

    The iOS device initially uses a compact voice for Siri. After you have configured a Wi-Fi network and have the device connected to a power source, iOS will automatically download and install a higher quality version.

    I wasn't aware of that, but I did that anyway. The "quality" of the voice is fine. I guess it's just different. If it ain't broke......
