I'm having problem connecting my Laptop & iPad Mini to my tethered iPhone 5 EE through WiFi. I've to toggle the hotspot off\on many times before it shows on my devices.

Also, if connect and I walk a far distance from my device and come back, it won't connect again. I'll have to toggle it to work. But, usb connect is fine.

I tried the hotspot on my friend's iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1 and it's all fine.

Is this an iOS 6 issue?

I've seen the same issue too. Got to toggle ON / OFF too many times to let my laptop find the hotspot

I normally have to switch it on and off once or twice for my laptop or ipad to see it too.

I'm on 3 if that makes any difference?

    Thanks
    Paul

I used to have an issue when trying to connect my iPad 3 to my iPhone 4S. I could easily tether via bluetooth but the iPad just couldn't find the 4S as a wifi network.

However, under iOS6 the iPad finds the 4S wifi network very easily and connects quickly, so for me, the personal hotspot is working better than ever.

For those who have upgraded to iOS7, do you experience the Personal Hotspot Issue that existed with iOS6?

I haven't decided to upgrade to iOS7 yet as my iPhone 5 is jailbroken

My issue with hotspot, and it's always been this way, regardless of OS, is I can only connect via blurtooth and never by creating a wirless network. The iPhone wireless network shows up in my iPad's list of available wifi but I can nvere get it to connect. If I connect via bluetooth it's great.

What was the issue? I've never had issues with Personal Hotspot either before or after upgrading to iOS7.

The issue is when I turn on the personal hotspot on my iPhone5, it doesn't become discoverable on my WiFi devices (iPad, iPad-Mini, laptop etc).

It's like 30-70, sometimes it's discoverable and most times not.

My laptop can be connected to it now, if I walk a distance with my iPhone and come back, it wouldn't discover it again. I'll have to toggle the Hotspot on\off many times before it becomes discoverable

Yes, I have this problem with IOS 7 (and have had so since the first Beta). Probably about the same ratio. I also have an HTC One and that always appears.

Weird that some people have a major issue and others don't?

The people with the problem, what networks are you on?

Trying to see if there's a pattern here
