building a new house and cinema room smaller than before
used to use 2 pairs of ma fxi's before for 7.1 surround
still undecided about 7.1 in a small room didnt seem to make much diference before so may give it a miss this time
anyway thinking of inwall design for rear
construction is going to be block wall so dont know if its possible?
anybody using them if so what?
would quality be as good as fxi's?
    what sort of height?
    what about ceiling mount?
    cheers guys for any advice

Putting the size of the room might help, and what equipment you already have.

suggest you take a look at sonance in walls... download manuals and mounting instructions for a better idea of where they can be mounted and the depth needed.....http://www.sonance.com/

Add Atlantic Technology to your list of possible candidates - they have a range of In-Wall (THX, Non THX and Sub) along with In-Ceiling, On-Wall and Floor Mount to enable a coherent sound even with a mix and match installation.

It may also be worth considering spending £150 on having your room Acoustically 'modelled' to find out where best to 'install' any hidden speakers before you make any costly mistakes!

    See http://www.atlantictechnology.com/ and http://www.homecinemaengineering.com/

    Best regards

    Joe
