I've just been checking the power consumption on my recently installed Inuke 3000 DSP amp.

Whilst it was switched off on the button on the front and no lights on / no fans spinning my wattmeter shows it consuming 35watts.

Seems to be a lot of watts for a device that is physically switched off on the front ?

Can anyone else replicate my findings ?. Works out in the region of £40 a year having it sat there turned off. Not much less than having it sat there switched on idle which shows 55watts.

Since finding this out I've been switching it off at the wall, would prefer to spend £40 on something more useful.

I would have thought in the age of low power consumption it would be 1 watt or less whilst switched off but plugged in ?, checking my Coffee machine shows 9watts in standby, my Imac shows 4watts.

That's a bit rubbish isn't it. I always switch mine off when not in use with the front button. Doesn't seem much point then, might as well leave it on.

I'm certainly not unplugging it each time.
