Introduction and question about Samsung TV, Blu-ray and Soundbar

Hello everybody, first time posting here. Hoping to have a fun time here and meet some cool A/V wizards….lol.

I have a Samsung QN65Q7FAM TV, Samsung HW-M550 Soundbar w/sub and a Samsung UBD-K8500 Ultra HD Blu-ray player.

I pretty much have my picture settings about where I want them but I’m unsure on a few things with the audio settings, primarily when it comes to the different modes such as PCM, Bitstream, DTS Neo2:5 and such.

Also curious about if I should be using my optical cable input on my soundbar with whatever of my components which is the Blu-ray, my regular PS4- not the Pro one, and an Amazon Firestick 4k, along with my HDMI cable using the ARC connection. In other words, everything I have is just plugged into the TV and then the TV is going to the soundbar via the TV ARC and what I’m curious about, is if any of my components like my PS4 or Blu-ray would sound better if either were plugged into the soundbar using the optical connection as well.

Nice to meet everyone.
