    Hi everyone,
It hasn't arrived yet but I'm getting in early , so there is the minimum delay in getting it going.
    I have a few questions:

1/ I assume it will be set to japanese language, so how do I set it to English?

2/ Are there any other settings that I should be looking at to optomise its performance?

3/ What is the correct procedure for Checking for Dead Pixels?

Sorry if these Questions have been asked before, but I thought I would get them all answered in the one spot.

Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi Harb,

    Congrats for your good choice!

It will be pretty easy to set your AE300 to English (remember the remote is in English, too): just select menu on remote and then select the icon which shows someone talking - a head that has words coming out from his mouth . At least that's what I remember.

Have a look at the following thread for reducing the scan lines effect:
    http://www.avforums.com/frame.html?...wthread.php?s=&threadid=57818&highlight=ae300

Checking for dead pixels can be done easily using the service menu. For instructions on how to get to the service menu see the thread above or the one Buying an AE200 from PriceJapan... You can spot easily a dead pixel by displaying the different colour screens and look for tiny dots that differ from the background.

Best of luck with your new projector.

    Julia,
Did you get you AE300's dead pixels sorted or are you putting up with them?

    Hi Pinkerton,

Yes, I decided to make use of PriceJapan zero dead pixel policy and I've sent mine back for a replacement.

It took about 20 days the whole process (mainly because of the Japanese Customs delay), but I've got a new AE300 back that is just perfect! :D

No dead pixels and the picture is awesome!:D

    Nope! :D

I told them it was a "warranty replaced projector" (and emailed them Kaneda's zero dead pixels policy that can be found on their web site).

    Good luck with your AE200.
