Internet in Halls in Uni

Hey all,
i am currently living in halls for university and the internet is pretty good, apart from youtube, which takes forever to load. Other streams of different websites load fine and plays straight away.
it seems as if they have put a cap on youtube...
i tried youtube through will protect your anonymity on the internet, helping you evade url and ip filters! and it seems to run fine through that but the quality is really low due to a lot of people on their server.

I was wondering if their is a better way around this or if anyone could recommend a better tunnel.?

depends on how there filtering - if its on protocol type rather than url then an hiding your IP wont help. That how I do it. You can anonymise as much as you like but unless you can stream the packets differently any half decently filtering system should be able to thottle video traffic.

You need to get friendly with the IT dept and see if someone will tell you how they do it.
