I downloaded and installed this yesterday.

Seems to work faster than IE7, and has some nice new features.

It has a major problem though, AV Forums crashes it....:thumbsdow

Even in its 'Compatability Mode' where it should run like IE7, it still constantly crashes on the AV Forums pages.

I tried 30 or so other common sites, yahoo, BBC, Facebook etc, and it was stable.

Might be a problem with ads or the site software, I'll leave it to the more knowedgeable PC people to work it out.

Needless to say, I've reverted to IE7........

:hiya:

I am running it now for 2 days and constantly go into AV forums with no problems.

I installed it yesterday and found no problem with AVForums, although I didn't use it for long.
Extremely fast compared to Firefox, imo :smashin:

I've left it installed, as some stuff doesn't work with FF and I use IE as a backup.

I'm still sticking with Firefox as my main browser though.

Windows 7 users won't be able to get it until the next actual update of Windows 7 itself :(
Lucky I'm dual-booting with Vista then :D

One of the issues if you read the install instructions before installing IE8 is to open IE7 options, select advanced, and reset Intenet Explorer settings. Basically it must carry over some of the IE7 settings but in doing so it has an adverse affect on IE8.
