Can anyone tell me the cross-over frequency of the Sony STR DB 930.
thanks in advance
Bump! Come on, folks - can anyone help this chap?
If it's the bass management frequency you're referring to, then I'd guess it's probably 80Hz.
Someone who owns the unit should be able to help...
I've just checked my manual the only reference I could find was for BASS BOOST which states "+6 dB at 70Hz" so I guess it would be 70Hz. Can anyone confirm this?
I did some research on this some time back ...lost the info ! I seem to remember it is fixed at 150 hz, quite high.
I too have a 930 and I would have preferred a lower and adjustable setting.
Perhaps a search of news groups may give a more definitive answer. I will continue to look !
I have the 940 and this may not be the same, but the crossover is variable. The option to change it though only appears when you have set your speakers to small. If they are set to large, there is no crossover, as the amp assumes that they can handle everything it throws at them.
This doesn't affect the LFE though, as the same signal is always sent on that channel. The redirection of bass from your front speakers to the sub is the thing which will change with the variation in crossover.
The 930 has a fixed Sub crossover.
I am now convinced that the crossover frequency is 120-150hz.
