This set has an intermittent fault with the vertical amplitude. The picture flickers & but doesn't collapse compltetley. A light tap almost anywhere on the case clears the fault - temporarily. Surely a dry joint/poor connection somewhere.
I have run the TV with the rear case removed for up to 3 days at a time & had a tap around the main PCB but cannot re-create the fault. As soon as the cover goes back on the fault comes back. The fault can happen from cold so it's not a temperature thing. Panasonic refuse point blank to assist & I know the labour cost for an engineer to pin it down will be uneconomical.
Any Panasonic Gurus come across this one before?
