Intermittent lost channels, mainly BBC?

Standard Member
I am hoping someone can give us some idea of what the problem might be due to. Every so often, but at least once a day for the last couple of weeks we are getting No Signal on up to 14 channels - mostly BBC ones. Most annoyingly Cbeebies as the toddler gets a bit vexed. They come back after some time. We have a Bush Freesat running through an old dish that was here when we bought the house.

The channels are Cbeebies, CBBC, Channel 5, BBC 2 and some BBC 1 channels, as well as bbc 3 and 4.

I've had a look through as to whether they are all LBH or LBV but they seem to be a mix?

We have always struggled to get some of the channels like Clubland, Mens movies etc.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Tends to happen in the mornings and early evening (eg toddler viewing time). Not sure if it happens every day as tv isn't always on!!

Any advice welcome.

Yep, dish alignment or a dodgy connection.
A quickly look at the connections might help.

Or even a failing LNB - average life of an LNB in the UK is around 5 to 6 years before performance deteriorates.

Thanks for the quick replies. Husband has being playing with dish, and lost all channels... but found them again after putting dish back where it was. Our neighbours trees look like they may be in the way. Would that cause the issues we are experiencing?
