    Hi

does anybody know if its possible to take the PAL interlaced RGB (via a scart socket), and have a deinterlaced YUY component output?

Basicly I want to make my Sky+ box output prog scan to my tv via component (it only support prog scan on component)

Any links to a recommended product or even just letting me know that its possible would be most appreciated.

    thanks in advance,
    Brian

    BrianC,

Sound like you need an RGB-YUV Converter, but will also need a deinterlacer to turn the Sky into progressive format.

ISCAN Ultra should do the deinterlacing to a high quality and JS Technology converter will do your RGB-YUV.

Have a look at www.tmfsolutions.co.uk , if you can put a call into Joe Fernand - I beleive he sells both and will be able to advise.

I am not aware of an all in one solution that will deinterlace and perform RGB(Scart) to YUV conversion, hence the two products.

    Gary A,

I dont think it can, his TV will accept PS through component.

He wants to feed Sky in progressivly to the TV, hence needs a deinterlacer and a converter to deliver a progressive scan signal, through these inputs.

The iScan Ultra and JS-Tech RGB2YUV convertor give an excellent progressive scan picture from Sky+'s RGB output.

Sky+ picture can be further enhanced by ordering one of Mark Grant's power cables.
