The accuracy of that I'm sure we could do pretty well.
Whether the general public could get this down to slice of bread level I'm not sure, probably not, but within a meter? perhaps?
Anyway............ The reminded me of something I'd like to know.
Is it possible to measure the altitude (height difference) between 2 places a mile apart in any accurate way?
There is a stream about 1 mile away as the flow cries, and it floods many times a year.
I've often wondered just how much higher it would have to get before it swept over the surrounding flat areas.
The stream is to the right which you can see as it's flooded all the fields which go off into the distance.
