What kind of cables would people suggest for connecting a Sky+ STB to the media box on a Hitachi 42pd3000 Plasma.

What are other people using in their set-ups?

Is a high quality cable going to make much difference bearing in mind the variable source quality from a sky digibox, how good is the picture going to look on a 42" screen?

I'm using a fully shielded QED scart cable for my connection. Probably over the top but, when I had my last TV, it did stop a problem I had with a ghost image of terrestrial TV appearing when watching Sky. Picture quality (at least with the higher bandwidth channels) is excellent.

Have you connected your Sky STB to the media box with a fully wired scart or video only scart (and if so how do you get audio to the plasma)?

I've been looking at Ixos 801 or 611 leads as possible interconnects.

    Interested in this one myself.

I'm doing exactly the same connections plus dvd

    Plasma arrives on Thursday.

Apparently the connection of choice for sky+ to the tuner box is RGB scart, but which one is best?

I don't use the plasma for audio at all, Sky+ box goes to the amp via optical cable.
