I'm looking to replace my current HTPC's Core2Duo innards with an Intel CPU (maybe Celeron G1840), an 1150 H81 motherboard and DDR3 RAM.

However, it seems that there is/was an issue with bitstreaming HD Audio in Windows using this platform.

I've searched here and on AVS, plus the Intel communities boards and can't see clearly whether this issue has been resolved. Some folks have had success others not. Last post from Intel says they're working on it but that was 2014.

So my question is does anyone know if this issue has been fixed. And, is anyone here running a G1840 under Windows without a separate graphics card and successfully bitstreaming HD audio through an AVR?

Cheers, S

Well in the end I replaced it with a B250 board and a Pentium G4500. And I'm pleased to say that HD audio bitstreaming works perfectly, as does 23.976p playback. No issues with RGB/pixel format either.
