I need to replace my AVC-10SE. I am claiming from insurance, they say that they will replace it with a "like-spec'ed" unit.

What do you think they will offer? denon 3805? the AVC-10SE was THX-Ultra speced is the 3805? i dont think so.

So, guys what do you think i should be expecting?

    An 11SR.
The 3805 would not be a fair replacement since it has inferior amplification and no THX certification

The 11SR was released at the same RRP as the 10SE and is the equivalent model in the current range.
Don't accept a 3805.... unless you want one of course.

Mind you, many insurers now will give you 'vouchers' to spend at one of their selected retailers.

pulled it out while looking behind it at some connections and the power was still on. Green flash and some smoke and that was that. it turns on but goes into standby a few seconds later.
