Installing wireless notebook adapter?

I'm thinking of getting the Netgear Range Max 240 Wireless Router (WPNT834) and it recommends getting the Netgear Range Max Wireless Notebook Adapter (WPNT511) to go with it which will allow you to run 240mbps. Will I be able to install the WPNT511 inside my laptop or will it sit on the outside?

It would need to plug into a spare PCMICA slot on your laptop, IF you have one.
