    Hi,
Trying to install a new stereo into my Fiesta - I have the wiring sorted and the facia.

Only problem is i cannot work out how to get the stereo to hold up inside the dash...The autoleads Facia came with no instructions and I got some guy from Halfords to explain to me but i have forgotten most of what he said...

    1) Put the Metal cage onto the facia - are you meant to bend the bits of metal on the cage into the facia so it is stuc on?

    2) Put the Stereo into the cage and then attach the bracket

    3) Put the wires on and push it into place...

I cant see how this works.. here are pics i have taken of what i have!

I am guessing I have put the black bracket on correctly - in an Ideal world I could push it into place onto my Fiesta - the hole in my dash does have a rail along the middle but its metal and the black plastic bit that came with my Facia wont click into it! (its more likely to go on the top than the bottom isnt it?)

I got a metal bracket with the Stereo as well but that looks useless, i cant see how I would atatch that (i.e you cant do it with the stereo in place but you cant do it with the stereo in place!)

Any tips before i goto a garage?

Fit the fascia then the cage and as long as you get the lugs tight on the cage you fit the stereo can bin the other bits.

You *may* have to attach a bit of thin metal strap bent at 90° with one end attached to the body/bulkhead and the other slideing into your hu support bracket.

I just stuck the facia on with the cage but i find every so often the wire at the back comes out so i have to pull out the whole cage - this may or may not be because it isnt in 100% properly - but i find sometimes it buzzes because its vibrating a lot (i.e not in properly) so down to the auto shop i go...
