    Hi all

Sorry to bother you, but I’ve hit a dead end with this and it’s twisting my melon (man)!

I decided to install BitDefender for Mac the other day. I appreciate the whole debate about whether antivirus is helpful/a negative for Macs etc, but I’m very anxious when it comes to online security and felt I had to get a substantial package.

I can download the installer and run it, but when I get to the “Installing antivirus for Mac” dialogue box, it just hangs there for hours. My internet connection is good.

I have removed other security software, though I do have chrome extensions and have still got Malware bytes on there.

Has anyone experienced similar and resolved it?

I have googled for answer and haven’t heard anything fro their customer support.

Any help/advice would be gratefully received.

    Thanks

    Si

Are you using a version of Mac OS compatible with it?

Thanks so much for the reply.

    I’m using El Capitan 10.11.6

Apparently that should be compatible. I might try updating though, just in case.

    Thanks again - appreciated.
