Does anyone know if it's at all possible to download applications like Spotify and install them on the ps3?

With Spotify and Vidzone on PS3, I think the music side would be covered.

    Thanks

No not unless they bring out a PS3 specific version.

You can install Linux on the PS3. and the PC version of Spotify works well under WINE on linux (I've not tried this on PS3 linux but have spotify working nicely on my linux netbook.)

agreed. Spotify on PS3 would be a killer app.

Don't see it happening while Spotify is still technically a Beta though. I have heard they have just released an SDK to allow people to develop for other platforms so maybe but who knows.

    Thanks guys.

Your help is appreciated. Lets hope they do work it out! Would make the PS3 even more of an entertainment hub.
