Hi, I just bought a kenwood KRFX-9060D receiver and a JBL SCS-178 set (speakers). How do I connect the subwoofer with the receiver? with ordinary cables or with a cinch cable?
Someone told me to connect the sub with the front speakers exit of the receiver and from the sub, I have to go back with cables to my 2 front speakers. is this wright ??

    thanks
    Ivo

That would be OK if you where using the Sub passively. In which case, it would be doing the filtering before sending the higher frequencies to your front speakers. Most these days however are active subs. In this case use a phono to phono lead from your reciever's ' sub out ' to the sub itself. Cable your front speakers as normal, and use your recievers internal crossover for the rolloff. Switch your subs crossover to ' max ' to avoid frequency clashes.
Turn it up...............sit back and enjoy.......... :smashin:
