I have problems how to connect a Philips DVD r70 to a Freeview box of the same brand. Currently, the DVD recorder can only detect, from the set-up box, the five analog channels, without accessibility to other freeview channels. Can anyone tell me how to configure them such that all the freeview channels can be detected by the DVD recorder? Many thanks.

    Hi
if trying to record other channels on your freeview box ,the philips has to be on ext 2 so it can record from the freeview box,As the r75 tuner only picks up bbc1 ,2 itv1/ch 4/5.Hope that helps.

Which is exactly how it should be. The Philips, like most DVD recorders out there, only has an analogue tuner. Thus all you will ever see on the machines 'channels' is the 5 analogue ones. However if you select the EXT2 channel you will 'see' the current output of Freeview box. You can then manually change channels on the Freeview box and record whatever it is outputting.
