Hi,

I'm not sure if this is being posted in the correct forum (if not could a moderator move it as appropriate). I'm looking to move from Plusnet to BT in order to get BT Ultra but understand that the use of homeplugs is an issue and the engineer will only install the system as a hard wire install.

My problem is that the phone line enters my home upstairs (router situated next to the master socket) however the TV is downstairs. Before I order I need to find out if the enineer will run the cable externally or does it have to be within the house as the latter would be a deal breaker.

Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I can't imagine using HomePlugs is any concern on the ISP. The ISP delivers the service to your home (wherever that may be.) Hoe you distribute that onward isn't their concern.
