Hi there, can anybody recommend where I can get a sub package (Kenwood KAC-7252 + KFC-W3010 + 12 inch box- Subwoofer and Amplifier Package with carpeted Box + Wiring Kit) installed into my Celica.

I don't know that many specialists where I live so would be grateful to people that have had good experiences (I live south west london)
    Cheers in advance.

Well I got it done at budget car audio which were very good and I ended up spending a bit more on the following kit:

    Kenwood KAC-9151D Mono Sub Amplifier
    Pioneer TS-W3004SPL 12" Subwoofer

Together with fitting and the box it came to about £330 total, bass sounds great now so overall very hapPy  nexT step will be upgrading my headunit then the speakers later

Glad to hear you got it sorted.

I have been a heavy modifier of the G7 Celica, with many upgraded parts, including audio.

I've moved on now to another car but, the Celica is still in the family.

At one time, it was 'one' of the best in the UK !

If you have an onbard amp you will need to bypass it too.

Cheers for the replies, yeh I'm well happy with the Celica, still looks fresh and has never let me down! I think the sub is connected via speaker level as I'm sure my factory headunit didn't have preouts. I've got a couple of more general queries

    1. Is it better to connect via preouts if I get a new/better headunit?
    2. My stereo uses 2 DIN slot, as most new headunits are single DIN is it possible to black out 1 DIN slot and use a single DIN headunit?

    Cheers

Most definately. You'll be sending the signal to an external amp, so taking the load off the HU. The external amp will also offer much more power than your HU.

Yes. You can get a single din HU bracket. If your car is pre 2003, it'll probably be a silver colour console. If it's post 2003, it'll be a dark grey console. Dark grey ones are harder to get hold of and most people opt for a black one.
The way these fix into the console is really good. Your HU bolts to the single din bracket. Then the bracket is bolted into place with 4 bolts. It's a very, very secure fixing method, and very solid.

The centre console comes apart very easily btw.

    Good luck ;)
