Having preordered this morning, I too was thrown into a state of panic when I read that you would need your password when Sky phoned to book the install. So, I've just rang SkyHD and was told that if you do not know your password then they - as long as the account is in your name - will accept the answer to a security question, eg 'mother's maiden name'. Having said this, I have now changed password in anticipation of the call as I do not want this to happen : "Hello, can I speak to Mr. Woodiwiss please?" "Yep, that's me. How can I help?" "It's SkyHD, just ringing to book your install. Could you just confirm your password please?" "Sure, it's....erm....lion?.....no.......erm.....lion1.....no...erm "You have one last chance Mr Woodiwiss" "I know it's Lion12" "Unfortunately not, thankyou for showing an interest in SkyHD; we will send out a letter in the next 6-8 weeks and you can arrange the install after that date...ok?" "NOOOOoooooooooooooo!!!!!" Now, I'm going to write the password down, hold on...what was it???
