So, I'm currently undergoing a room redesign. Cables etc all chased in.

However, I am looking for some inspiration as there is only so many words I can type into google images.

I will be having a corner set up, now, ideally I want this to be wall mounted, so not a cabinet as its likely the sub may have to go under the set up in the corner.

So, I will have a 55" tv, an AV receiver and a centre that need to be located there. The TV could be on a Wall mount or against some oak (diagonally). But looking for what others have done for shelves etc for the centre, receiver and maybe TV if not wall mounted. I would prefer wood (oak) ideas, but happy to see anything as may inspire.

I'm quite handy so dont mind some hard work.

Pics of your corner set ups required please ladies and gents.

Room Layout - with a TV/Speakers in a corner there is little chance of you achieving decent Surround Sound so you could consider simplifying your speaker system to 2.0 or 2.1 which may in turn simplify how you mount hardware in the corner.

Joe, thats a fair point, do you think a 3.1 setup could still be beneficial then? As I already have the full set up for a 5.1 and would prefer to use them if I can.

    Thank you

Layout - your Front sound stage is far from ideal with the LCR laid out as indicated.

2.1 vs. 3.1 - often comes down to how close together the Front LR are set, if they are not far enough apart the Centre is often best set as ‘no Centre’ and let the AVR mix the dialogue across the LR channels.

Experiment - as you have the kit already hopefully you can you experiment before you commit to a particular layout?

Is it not possible to mount the TV above the fireplace, and swap the sofa and seat around?

Unfortunately it wouldn’t work. The fireplace is an active wood burner and I love it. To have the TV above this would require the tv. Being about 60” off the floor which from a 10 foot viewing point is way too high.
