Greetings all;
I attempted to hook up the 47 inch LCD Insignia tv (NS-LCD47HD-09) to a home theater system, but I'm not getting any digital signal from the optical output of the TV. I tried two different receivers. The cable shows red light, but no sound. Both receivers were set correctly to optical input.
The TV is connected to U-verse with HDMI. Sound works off TV speakers. The TV is also connected to a DVD player with HDMI. I was hoping the TV would pass through the optical signal so it could be used in the receiver. I've tried both the uncompressed and PCM settings on the TV.
Any thoughts?
