Infra red sender for Sky box

Hi all just got my self a Panasonic PX80 (really pleased with it:D) but I have it standing on my sideboard and want to place all my AV equip inside.

I believe I need an IR sender / extender (dont know what the difference is )

I already have an SLXlink which this site states "Note that all of these "SkyLink" systems can be used to operate a Sky Digibox which is hidden from view. Simply plug into the "RF Output 2" socket, place the "magic eye" in view and select the RF power "on" in the secret menu"

http://www.satcure.co.uk/accs/page3.htm

Is this true - if so it will do me until I can get a multiple sender at a later date for my DVD/home theatre system

Any help or suggestions on this front would be welcomed :lease:

PS I also have a Wii and presume this can also be hidden away as the controlers send to the IR bar
