I am deciding between this and a Plasma. This projector is 2000 lumen so I could have a good bright 6' screen instead of a 42" plasma. Is £1395 a good price for this? Has anyone seen the picture quality? I have read reviews which say it is good. Any feedback will be gratefully received.

    Hi,

I too am interested in the LP500.
I have borrowed an LP530 (same spec except its 1024x768 not 800x600) and have been impressed with the brightness and colours, being dlp there is no sceendoor (chicken wire effect). However the focus can appear slightly less than sharp.
I have not compared this to a 16:9 ae100 for eg. but am intrigued how much better the image quality may be compared to the brightness of a LP500
