Hi all I got my brand spankin' new 5700 yesterday. Love it to bits (image quality even better than I'd hoped - bought it blind due to having no way of demoing one here in Belfast).

Just one question though - can you make the image bigger without moving the projector back. I really don't understand all the maths gubbins to be honest (bit dyslexic I suspect when it comes to figures), Iwas just wondering if there is a way to either digitally or (preferably) optically expand the image size on the wall. At the minute the projector is 11' from the screen, and the image size is 51" across. Would be nice if it was a bit bigger though (I know I know typical man).

So can anyone help me out, or am I doomed to my big, but not big enough screen for now?

Mines about 12ft from the screen and I have a 172cm 16:9 screen. Try using the zoom ring (the one behind the focus ring) to zoom in.

I'm just jealous.. my small room just wouldn't take the 5700. Glad you're happy with it though. :smashin:

Hi guys just had a demo today..love it no rainbow effect after 30mins also was challenged to bring in any film [black &white etc] to find any problems with my viewing on this model...problems i might have.
I could possibly shelf mount from about 13ft or ceiling [low ceiling 7ft] how central does pj have to be with screen [no lens shift on this model].
I would like a 7ft diagonal screen is this possible from this distance, anyone know and tried a max zoom from say 12ft...cheers all :smashin:

Infocus state that from 13 foot, the min image size diagonally is 68.8 inches ( 5 foot 8.8 inches) and the maximum diagonal image size is 86 inches ( 7 foot 2 inches) for the Infocus SP5700 so you should be fine. Going only slightly off center would necessitate the use of some keystone adjustment so ideally place the projector centrally to the screen from left to right as keystone is not conducive to an optimum image. Anyway, I believe the keystone adjustment is only verticle and not horizontal so centered to the screen is critical.
