Apparently, RRP has dropped to 2200 today.

    Bargain price!

???? You mean Infocus has lowered the rrp to £2200? or Hifibitz has dropped its price to £2200????

    Its still £2250 on Hifibitz

A rrp of £2200 would be nice. Then it would be available for under 2k :)

I checked with the UK distributor for Infocus and they confirmed Infocus have lowered the RRP of the 5700 to 2200 GBP today.

Also confirmed via phone by www.audiovisiononline.com - looks like hifibitz.co.uk are just the first retailer to lower their price. Expect the rest to follow over the next few days.

The reason for the RRP reduction...? The 5705 due in Jan/Feb. No solid info on it yet though. Looks like no major changes over the 5700 - faster colour wheel, but no resolution change.

How about a higher resolution 7200 available for £2k instead?

Great news so that's both the Infocus 5700 and the Benq PE7800 selling for around £2000. Lets hope the other makers of matterhorn projectors follow suit and lower their prices.
