Info on Rotel 965BX Discrete CD Player

    just picked up a Rotel 965BX Discrete CD Player. Can anyone tell me how the discrete version differed to the normal, as I can,t seem to find any info on the web

    i don't have any magazines etc any more from that period so i cannot be 100% sure but, when hifi blurb refers to a descrete
    version, it almost certainly means that the manufacturer has replaced the industry standard op-amps (simple line level
    multi-transistor output devices such as NE5534) with simpler and hence higher quality transistor equivalents.

    This was a killer cd player a few years back & still gives modern gear a run for the money.
    I have one still , fantastic machine.
