Is it just me or is "Romancing the Stone" a better adventure movie. Ive watched R.O.T.L.A & T.O.d. so far They dont seem to be as good to me ,by the way this is the first time Ive seen the Indy movies in full.

I love Romancing The Stone but its a rip-off of Indiana Jones and was made to cash in on those movies, my favourite film is Raiders and i wish they would re-release Romancing the Stone with a DTS track and new improved anamorphic picture.

Heresy! RTS is a fun movie but no way can it stand comparison to ROTLA. Raiders has much more going for it in sweep, style, humour and stunts and it doesn't have Michael Douglas in the lead role ;)

Just bought the Box set of Indie. Put ROTLA on Sunday expecting it to be dated but it was still as good as the first time I watched it many years ago, absolute classic. Cant wait to watch the other two.:)

About 1 min of cuts in TOD (heart scene)

Buying from Play could result in customs fees for R1 - DVDSOON or CDWOW would be better bets

Well one of the main changes is in Temple of Doom was where he rips that guys heart out, i have never seen that part before as it has always been cut from TV etc, The R2 version has that bit missing,

I think theres more but thats all i can think of right now

I got The R1 box set from www.dvdsoon.com £28 Delivered (that was pre order price) about £30 now and it took about 7 days to deliver

Comparing Romancing the Stone to Indy is like comparing turd to chocolate.

Sticking with your analogy Monkeyboy, RTS is a rather tasty turd though, wouldn't you agree? Though admitedly, Indy is even better tasting chocolate:)

I got my mate the Raiders boxset a while ago and we watched Raiders for the first time in ages last week,I have to say I was impressed, the picture quality was brilliant given its age and the film is still a classic.
