YAY, I hope this turns out to be true. Glad they're doing it as the trilogy and not including the 4th:thumbsup:

Another one on the 'must buy' list.

I take it the ban on linking to bluray.com has been lifted now

Should be great. I hope this correct including the bit about it being the first three only.

Is that just a guess or have you read my previous comments on the "wonder" that is Indy 4?

Back during the early days of dvd , I would snap up all these so called 'must buys' , but are these films really that good?

I've had the dvd versions of these films since their release and have had them in my player only once. I can't help feeling that movie fans are spoon fed which films are classics.
I loved these movies as a kid ,but these days they do bugger all for me.

Were you the kid beside me in the Newcastle ABC screening? I was crying with laughter and you were looking at me like I was mad.

Much as i'm avoiding upgrading DVDs to BD, i'd buy these in a heartbeat. Raiders is about as close to perfect as a film can get, Temple of Doom is a huge favourite of mine & Last Crusade is a great end to the trilogy.

    Crystal Skull kinda sucked though.

Temple Of Doom is the best for me with Raiders as a very close second. I wasn't too keen on Last Crusade until I saw Indy 4. All of a sudden it was a classic.

I likes all the Indys. If they're doing a Trilogy Blu release, it makes sense because the folk who actually like 4 will have bought it already. Me included.

However, the insane collector mentality that I'm afflicted with would prefer a proper box to house all four. I'll take 'em as they come though. :D

Oh yeah, one more thing. Temple of Doom is just as stoopid as Crystal Skull. Those rose-tinted specs do wonders for old movies, eh?

The latest one was a huge disappointment theatrically, probably due to the years of anticipation & the excitement leading up to the release. The film had some great Indy scenes but had some awful characters (John Hurt's was just horrible) & some truly cringeworthy stuff in there capped off by the most '*** am i watching?!' ending ever.

Watching it again at home without the hype & expectation, i found it a lot more enjoyable. Worst of the series by far, but certainly not the childhood raping, cinematic abomination a lot of people made it out to be.

BBC HD aired Raiders and Crusade last year when Crystal Skull was at the Cinemas, They looked great. Can only imagine how good the BD's will look.

Indeed. Why say that it's merely 'okay' or even 'poor' when you can say it's 'TEH WORZT EVAR!!!!'? Such is the way of the internets. :)

:) It was very good in some respects. I loved the interplay between Ford and Connery as father and son.

Just as a matter of interest how many of you reckon Indy 4 is the best?

It wasn't quite that bad, almost though.

No No, you are confused. [Spoliers]

There was a film with Harrison Ford in, he was looking for some artefact, then along came the kid from Transformers and they together looked for the "All Spark", they mulled though mountains of crap before discovering a drunk played by John Hurt who erm....you know.....

Then the double, double, double crossing crafty del boy Winstone turned up and introduced them to some apples and pears.

Then Cate Blanchett performed a role other than royalty which must have been weird for her by playing an Austrian.

Oh, I forgot the Mummy section, with all those ants.

Crikey, the moment where the nuke went off when I was sure Harrison Ford was wrapped in Jar Jar Binks rolling across the desert, "mesa no liken crunchen".

They did raise awareness to unemployment by giving a job to someone called "Karen Allen" however, also they showed off the kid from Transformer by making him swing like King Kong.

    [End Spoliers]

    Fantastic stuff.

I think the last one has it's place, as i say i enjoyed it. The last crusade was the worst for me but and indy is good as far as I'm concerned and none of them come close to raiders as far as i'm concerned suffice to say I'm getting this box set.

I enjoyed No 4 but it isnt as good even as ToD (which is my least favourite of the original trilogy)

Last Crusade and RotLA are easily better movies for different reasons

I would buy the full trio in a decent pack, but not if its like the 007 packaging (which I dont think will stand up to alot of usage, with the packaging looking like it will easily fall apart) - if thats the case, I will buy all three as seperate discs

I haven't seen Indy 4, but I'm sure in ten years time you guys a going to call it a great classic.

My favourite is The Temple of Doom, I remember going to watch it on my brother's birthday but some how I chose to watch The Never Ending Story, he still hasn't forgiven me yet.
