    Hi everyone,

I popped into my local Tesco today just in case they had put the Indy trilogy DVDs out a day early. They hadn't but the guy said that they would have them in stock round the back and they would go out in the morning. He said they would be priced the same as the website which has them at £28.99.

Seems to be the best price I have found so far for the boxset.

Unless anyone can tell me where I can find it much cheaper I plan to go back tomorrow and pick up a copy.

So if you know somewhere much cheaper, please shout now.

    Cheers,

Oh yeah, forgot that one....Almost forgot to use it on me order too :D

I've never had a package from DVDSoon being seized, plus they mark all packages $12CAN.

Come to think of it, I've never been stung for customs......

(quickly runs off to find some wood to touch......)

My local store at Brighouse have it at nearly £40 yet the Tesco website has it at £28.99.

Told customer services who wouldn't/couldn't do anything so emailed Tesco HQ customer service at the address below.

If you feel as militant as me send the same email, I've asked them to reply to me and on the forum.

    We'll see what happens..........

The website has this item at £28.99, when I attended my local store today 20-10-03 it was priced at about £11 more.

I brought this to the attention of customer services and asked if I could purchase it at the price advertised on the website.

I was told told I could not and that the website pricing was totally different to the store pricing.

My family spends close to ???? a week at Tesco and whilst a difference of £10 on the DVD won't break the bank I ask that
you respond to my email and tell me why this should be the case.

You may also wish to post a reply on the www.avforums.com/ website following the link to DVD Bargains and special offers through to Indiana jones at Tesco £28.99 and respond to all other customers who have found themselves to be in this position.

    Many Thanks

    Hi again,

like MJR600 I went back into Tesco this morning to find that they want £11 more for it in store than they do on-line. I checked out the website terms and conditions and they have a clause that states that the website prices may sometimes be less than in store.

I ended up buying 2 sets from amazon.co.uk this morning at £28.99 each including free shipping. Should arrive by the end of the week and no customs charges !!.

    Tesco, you lose out!!

    cheers,

You might as well just get it from Amazon, £28.99 with free shipping. I'm leaning towards the R2, 1:06 missing from ToD isn't the end of the world.

The prices on the Tesco website are decided by matching or beating those on the Amazon website hence the same price of £28.99. However in the stores they will not price match with anyone not even other high street stores as they do not have an instore price match policy. Perhaps a change in this policy is needed and that will only happen with customer pressure.

I doubt anyone at Tesco will be bothered or allowed to respond in the forum. And I don't want the forums used as a collecting point for a campaign to complain to Tescos - who are well within their rights to charge whatever they like wherever they like.

Just curious what versions are you buying for widescreen the 16,9 or the 2.35 to 1. I do know the difference just curious what seems the most popular.

Tesco have now reduced the instore price to £34.99 and my local has filled a whole isle end with them. Still does not look like many are selling though.:suicide:
