    Has anybody got a review of Independence Day, as i cant find any reviews for it yet.

    Is it any good?

    watched this the weekend - really enjoyed seeing it again, IMHO its excellent, especially liked the audio (DTS-HD)

    I personally thought it was a good though not great transfer. Didn't notice any artefacting or print damage but at the same time it wasn't super sharp either. The sound was very good.

    I think part of my reservation is simply down to the fact that it is 12 years old now and the effects which seemed absolutely astonishing at the time, seem rather obvious and dated now compared to modern movies like War of the Worlds, Transformers etc.

    If you like the film then get it, it will probably never look better.

    I watched it too at the weekend, and I thought it looked terrific - wasnt one of my favourite films but I actually like it alot more now

    Really glad I bought it

    I thought the sound was A1 the picture was good but not as good as The Rock.

    I'll agree with what you guys are saying about the ID4 Blu-ray; the picture is good but the sound is even better.
