Does anyone no where I could purchase this older title cheaply, I cant seem to find it anywhere.
Try looking for it at www.the-underdogs.org. They specialise in abandonware and will point you to the proper places to order older titles if they are still available.
I got the original Incredible Machine from The Underdogs (an abandonware site) though that may have closed down now. As the license is no longer held by anyone I can let you have a copy of the original, or do you have that already?
Ahh thx Sinzer, I was using the wrong URL (have it bookmarked at home). Good to see those guys are still up and running.
Thanks I will check out the links, I used to the first one years ago and found it on Kazza last night, not the I downloaded it that would be illegal
I don't think it would you know. As Dynamix no longer exists the rights to it are not owned by anyone and so it is Abandonware (free). At least that's what it means if it's on The Underdog's site.
/edit: Hmm looking into it a bit more, downloading copywrited material, whether the owner is still in existence or not, and regardless of whether the copywrite is still being enforced is technically illegal.
For an interesting read see here.
All out of print software should be free, its made its money and is only of interest to a minority of gamers who have an intrest in the game for nostalgic reasons, the software house make to much money as it is on their flashy looking new games, that often have **** game play.
