WOW!! Check this ebay item out. No. 220188946461
I WANT ONE!!
That would be useful to beat the M1 roadworks.
If it could fly it would be!
Oh c'mon, dont be like that....
@ a bargin price also
Flying cars are never going to happen or be legal. Maybe in Blade Runner or the Jetsons but anywhere else? Never. It would be a complete and total waste of money.
At first glance this looks amazing, but then when you read that it isn't capable of flying, and isn't legal for use on public roads, then the initial interest begins to get a little less fun/rosy.
Shame, though, that the machine is being sold for $49,600 (or thereabouts) rather than having a museum buy it, for posterity, and the payment go towards further Research and Development.
Still, if it could fly, it would make lunch-times far more fun. Moreso, if you left that all-important file/document at home. You could quite literally fly home, pick it up, fly back to work, and be the coolest (and best) guy in the office! Plus, the vehicle would p*** all over our government's idea of telling us to use public transport like Network Rail rather than cars! Imagine, hovering over No. 10 Downing Street!
imagine one ploughing into a school from a 1000 feet because it hasn't passed its MOT.
Sorry to be practical and urinate on your french fries.
Want to know more have a look at this website they have been developing one for years and have had test flights.
LOL @ the image at the top of that page
Yes, test flights tethered from above to avoid breaking the prototype in any of the many failures...
lets all chip in and buy it
