OK - a question. If I want to buy a 37" LCD instore, what do I need to consider re taking it home. Does the box need to stand upright (difficult as I have a saloon) or can it be laid down across the boot/back seats? Or am I better off getting it delivered by ordering via the web?

I think it depends how much does it cost to have it delivered to your house. If it makes such a big different plus u got a car, then why not collect it yourself. And to answer your question, I think most of the packaging comes with (sort of) foam box inside which will secure TV by preventing the TV from moving or hitting with anything( doesnt mean u can just drop it hard though lol). So YES I think it can be laid down across the back seats.

IF you have a 100mile round trip probablly be better off getting it delivered for £15.

I'm sure you could easily haggle a free delivery.
