    is there anyway to be absolutely sure that a pair of speakers are all in phase, ive been told alot of different things about this.

    or is it a big myth?

    Check polarity on speaker wires (red to red, black to black etc) or Avia phase test tones if you don't have access to the cables (ie in wall fixings) or use a multi meter on (continuity?) test- when you create a circuit between the two probes the meter will beep, so put one probe on either end of the cable.
