In Car Entertainment Insurance

Am purchasing a Kenwood DNX-7200 SatNav/Multimedia unit for my car. It costs £1000 and when you add the Bluetooth, Parking camera, tv + other add-ons needed for fitting in my car the cost rises to over £1500 for the equipment alone plus £270 to have it fitted.
My current insurance company will insure car audio equipment upto £1000 and I can't seem to find another company which has a higher limit for audio equipment.
Does anyone have similar equipment fitted and if so then how are you insured?

Thanks Rod

We had the same problem with 2k's worth of Alpine gear in our car. The only one we found was First Alternative.

i've got Alpine gear in the Jeep (branded Jeep) so its covered on the standard insurance as 'original' manufacturers equipment

replacement inc amp and Infinity Gold speakers would be £2K+

Then mate just get yourself a good 2-way alarm system with remote starter. That way if someone tries to brake in, at least you will hear it and perhaps start the car to scare them off?

Insurance companies here won't insure certain things either, it's at your own risk really. Why do need a parking camera though  Which Jeep have you lot got by the way?

Viper is not bad, but if you can get your hand on a compustar then get it. That is what I have on my car here in canada, and I can start my car from the 19 floor of my office building in the car park, and depending on the sensitivity level I set it to, if someone just touches it, it flippin' goes off with a slight warning beep, and the remote vibrates.

You will have to get a pro to install it for you mate

I have the latest one in my black car that can be found in the other thread about members cars with the 56k warning. You just want one with a good range and that is 2-way, or else it defeats the purpose.

been on the website and this one

Alarm/Start Features | 2WSS-AS

looks to do the business wonder how much it would be to import though
