Hopefully you guys know a bit more than me about this ! ;)

I'm currently interested in buying a portable DVD player (sparked by the fact that the lesser known brand ones are qround £250-300 now). However, I'd be more interested in getting a 'top' name brand (eg, Panasonic, Pioneer)

I see that it's a fair bit cheaper to buy them in the US (a good example is the Pioneer LC20 which is around £900 in the UK and $500 in the US), and it seems most are built to accept/transmit NTSC and PAL signals. I could get one chipped when imported.

Obviously, it'd be suspect to import duties, etc. However, does anyone know any retailers that import this sort of hardware at decent prices (or even a price comparison check site).
