Importing a DV Camera .....

    Other than the obvious VAT and import duty issues, I assume that to import a video camera from the US the following issues apply:

    Different ac adaptor voltage (110volts)

    NTSC output from analogue (connected camera --> TV)

    DV output will be MPEG which can be either PAL or NTSC (when encoded to VCD)

    Any other factors that need taking into account?

    Yes...it's a loooooooong way to send it back if a problem crops up. With DV cams so cheap from UK based online 'e-tailers' (such as letsgodigital) why bother? Your standard consumer rights apply with a UK based company. Unless you specifically need an NTSC cam, I'd stay well clear.
