    Hi

I just had a load (well 7 actually) DVDs sent over from Hong Kong of various weird and wonderfull films I was after from an Ebay seller of high repute/recommendation.

Now watching on my Mico 890a I noticed I periodically lost the subtitling sporatically throughout the film.

    I can't figure out if it's a **** DVD or a **** DVD player.

I noticed some other posts about subtitles being lost so I'm begining to wonder if in fact it's not the disk afterall, even tho they came in cardboard cases and I believe are Korean releases, vs the Hong Kong ones I normally get.

Anyone have similar problems? Should I make sure I only get HK releases?

    Thanks

    Mark

Not something simple like a dirty disc is it??

Might be a poor pressing, does it happen with all the discs??

Why not try playing them on your DVD-ROM and see if the subtitling fault occurs on there? :)

    Hi

Talked to the seller and it seems Ichi the Killer Uncut has no subs in the sections that have been put back in.

The other one I'll try again and see if the faults appear in the same place but he was OK for replacing it.

Can't try it on a DVD-Rom player as I don't have one on my antique mac.
