Implicationsof a 1024 x 768 limit on VGA Input ?

Standard Member
Im considering purchasing a 42" Full HD LCD panel to replace my current 1368 x 720 32" set.

I connect my Xbox 360 via VGA as it will upscale DVDs through this connection. The panel however, although having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 will only allow up to 1024 x 768 via VGA.

Can anyone please advise what effect this will have on the quality of the image ? I would imagine that the image would have to be "stretched" to a widescreen ratio in order to fill the screen ?

Thanks !
