Impact damage on a 4K screen. Thinking of trying to repair it myself.

Ok, so I left one of my 4K TVs in the living room and someone has managed to give the screen impact damage. When I turn it on, I just see lines coming out from the point of impact.

I've seen an identical set on eBay stating that the picture is dark. Could the darkness be a motherboard or a screen fault? If it's a motherboard fault, I might buy it and try fitting the screen on my damaged set.

The dark picture is probably a backlight problem and those are built-in to the screen.
