I'm currently waiting on my paperwork to be finished off so that i can move from the UK to Canada. I currently have a Sony STR-DG820 with Tannoy SFX5.1 speakers. I do realise that I will be going from 230v to 120v in Canada I realise that there are transformers which will change the voltage however its going from 50 to 60Hz that i think will cause problems, does anyone know if this is the case or will I be able to get them to work with out any difficulties.

This suggests that the machine is happy with 50-60Hz mains. STR-DG820 (STRDG820) : Home Cinema & Hi-Fi : Sony

Cool, thankyou looks like the Tannoy SFX will work as well so its all good

Yep. Speakers are driven by the amp so there should be no issue at all there.
