As I've said it's reasonably comprehensive - one major gripe, a trilogy of 'reasonably' entertaining movies dominate the top 10  , whereas Lawrence of Arabia lingers in the mid 20s (where's the justice in that?! :thumbsdow ). Bare in mind this list covers every single movie ever made . Does anyone actually agree with this  ?

Exactly what I meant (on another thread) about it being far from "definitive".

It's a list of almost 100% fine movies, I own practically all of them, but would certainly dispute the order, and would even dispute several (including ones that I own and enjoy) being on the list at all - certainly at the expense of what's been left off.

And anyone who has been following the internecine warfare between the "LOTR" and Star Wars" fans on the IMDB will know the lobbying and button clicking that has been going on to get their favourites well up the list - hence the Top Ten.

Just some of the many reasons why it can never be "definitive".

The only list that's definitive is mine - for me. Or yours for you. Or his for him, etc...

I do think that LOTR as a whole deserves a single place in any list, but as I said earlier, there is a great list of films in there but not my own personal order but they never will be will they.

1000x better than Eberts list anyway

    "It's A Wonderful Life" - Number 27.

But where is "The Devil and Daniel Webster"? Or "Cocteau's "La Belle et le Bete"? Doubly insulting that one of the greatest fantasies ever committed to celluloid isn't there while the cartoon it inspired is.

While movies of this quality are left off and sit-coms like "Back to the Future" and the likes of "Forrest F***ing Gump" reign in their stead, the list is, as I said, far from definitive...
