When I first got my Canon IXUS870IS I shot a couple of test videos along with stills.
The videos were transferred into dated folders along with the stills shot by the bundled Canon Camera Window software.
I decided rather than take my miniDV camera to the US I'd get a 16GB card for the Canon and use its video mode instead.
For some reason the when I connect the camera over USB, Canon's Camera Window program launches but it doesn't show thumbnails for the video images and it doesn't transfer them. Stills are copied OK.
If I browse the card on a reader or the camera using Explorer then I can see the videos and copy them manually but I'd like them to copy automagically like stills do.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Canon utilities and checked for updates but to no avail.
Anyone got any suggestions?
[P.S. I wasn't sure if I should post this in this forum or Camcorders but figured as it's primarily a stills camera I'd have more luck here - hope that's OK]
